The Gallery, located in what used to be a rectory built in 1825, seeks to give the community access to important works of art.  This wildlife art exhibition aims at showing works of high quality, while highlighting the importance of this form of art.  The exhibit also includes several paintings from the collection of the Quebec Wildlife Habitat Foundation.

Starting June 12, 2010 AAAS Science Art Exhibit

associated with the

2010 Pacific Division AAAS Meeting

"The Art of Science"

Ashland, OR

 

Science Art-Nature, a nonprofit organization, is providing an online Science Art exhibit.  The exhibit will feature artwork relevant to the research represented at the AAAS Pacific Division meeting, and aims at raising the visibility of science art:  visual art that combines the accuracy of science with the evocative power of art.

Sept. 10 - 12, 2010 "Wildlife in Acrylics" Workshop

While working on a wildlife subject of your choice, David will review drawing and painting basics, while teaching techniques that are specific to acrylics.  Learning is further facilitated by live demonstrations and slide shows.  The class is open to artists of all skill levels.

The Group of Twelve is represented by twelve of the finest realist artists from across Canada.  Their media is highly diversified, ranging from Watercolour, Graphite, Coloured Pencil, Oil, Acrylics, Gouache, Pastels, Charcoal, and Chalk.  Each artist brings their own unique style and subject material, and has mastered their medium in their varied presentations of Contemporary Realism.  Plan to visit the Group's inaugural exhibition this Fall.
